Happy Valentrini Day took place at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino on February 14th, 2016. The event honored Trini Lopez as Entertainer of the Year, and recipient of the Connie Francis Lifetime Achievement Award. Stanley Seidenberg was named Footlighter of the Year.  With an all-star cast, that included Connie Francis, Joni James, Judy Scott, The Classics and many others, guests enjoyed a delightful dinner and an inspirational show. See the flyer for more details.

Tribute to Neil Sedaka: One of our most successful and memorable luncheons took place Feb 12th, 2015 at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino & Hotel, honoring legendary singer/songwriter Neil Sedaka. He was honored as “Entertainer of the Year,” and presented with the Connie Francis Lifetime Achievement Award. Stars gathered from all over the country to pay tribute and perform for the 500+ people in attendance. Kudos to Producer Errol Dante, Musical Director Mark Friedman, Talent Coordinator Stanley Seidenberg, Mimi Zuckerbrod, who coordinated the seating arrangements, and Lou & Lynn for the great sound. Bravo to the entertainers, including Master of Ceremonies Freddie Roman, Rodi Alexander, Ann Anello, Dick Capri, The Classics, Errol Dante, Joni James, Suzanne Laughlin, Richie Minervini, Wendell Noble’s The Platters, Gianni Russo & Lou Villano.

Birthday Bash for Earl Superfine: On April 26th we had quite an event at the Miami Shores Country Club for longtime Footlighter, Earl Superfine. Unfortunately, that day Earl was ill and could not attend, but the party was videotaped and went on as if he were there. Earl’s son and granddaughter were there to accept the honors. Madeline Kern sang a special song for Earl, “It’s So Nice to Have a Man Around the House.” which became It’s So Nice to Have Earl Around the House, with special lyrics by Marion Goldner. A beautiful birthday cake was wheeled out and everyone sang Happy Birthday. Comedy Legend Woody Woodward presented Earl’s son with a special plaque to commemorate the day. Show time featured sax and flute virtuoso Wes Anthony, and Carolyn Smylie, a Broadway belter in the tradition of Ethel Merman. Thank you’s go out to Glory Winters, Leo Goldner, the Bobby Barnett Orchestra and, of course, Lou & Lynn for sound.
